Brasilidade is a young collective from Azerbaijan. Claudio Franco originally from São Paulo just arrived in Baku and brought Bossa vibes with him. Here , in Baku, he immediately found his comrades Diana Hajiyeva , jazz singer and Ali Nasib , the drummer. Mostly band’s music is inspired by brilliant music of Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes.
Claudio Franco (Brazilian: Claudio de Almeida Franco; born 29 December of 1986, (Sao Vicente, Sao Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian Producer, Musician, Composer and Internationalist. Who graduated from the Conservatory of Cubatão, Sao Paulo; studied at Lisbon Conservatory, Portugal. He received the further education at International Relations College, Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul (honorary theses on the analysis of the commercial, cultural and diplomatic cooperative relations between Brazil and Azerbaijan, the first work of its kind). He become the first Brazilian in the history of the country to be accepted for a Master Degree at the Azerbaijan University of Languages in Baku, to study Azeri and Russian languages. Claudio Franco during his career has visited more than 30 countries around the world collecting songs and experiences, performed in many Festivals around Europe, Super Tubos Festival in Peniche, Rock in Rio Lisboa, Festival Para ti para todos Antwerpen, and many others venues around Europe. In Brazil over the last years could recorded and produced an EP with the amazing Composer and Musician from Spain, Alejandro Suarez and also with many other great musicians from Porto Alegre - Rio Grande do Sul, presenting this mixing of Spanish and Brazilian sound in the most prestigious places in the city. At the same time he worked at Consular and Diplomatic office of Rio Grande do Sul Government, attending many diplomatic activities. He is the nephew of Paulo Cesar Franco, celebrated Brazilian conductor and composer, one of the most prestigious in the State of Sao Paulo, who already performed in Carnegie Hall - USA, and many other theatres around the globe.
Marcelo Moncada is a tenor saxophone player and composer. He is from Chile and lives in Belgium since 2002. He started his musical career at a young age. In 2002, he immigrated to Belgium to continue his musical career. He studied ‘Jazz and Popular Music’ at the Royal Conservatories of Antwerp and Gent. For several years he has worked in different groups: Marcelo y los gringos, Proyeccion Latina, Latin Jazz Quintet Cascada, el Sindicato Sonico and has played on well-known festivals worldwide.
